Obuasi Senior High Technical, formerly known as Government Secondary Technical School, was established in November 1965 as a Boys’ school with an initial enrolment of 33 boys under the Ministry of Education, on land kindly donated by the then Asante Goldfields. Girls were introduced into the school with the inception of the new educational reforms. The School is a Public school established in 1965 and is located at Koffikrom in the Obuasi Municipality

To create an enabling environment to facilitate effective and efficient teaching and learning, ensure that students are supplied with the relevant teaching and learning tools, equipment and materials; recruit qualified and hardworking and motivated teachers all in a bid to producing the right minded young manpower to serve the country and humanity

To be the preferred trainer of students to effectively and efficiently use their heads, hands and hearts to be useful to themselves, the school, and the society as a whole in the future.
