Krobea Asante Technical Vocational Institute was established by Nana Susubribi Krobea Asante, the Omanhene of Asokore Traditional Area in, 1999, and commissioned by H E Janet Graham, the Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana. The institute, established to train the youth to have employment skills, is currently the only Government-assisted Technical Institute in the Sekyere East District.
The Institute is part of the ten institutes in the District receiving support from the African Development Bank through the Council for Technical Vocational Education and Training (COVTVET) in the area of infrastructural upgrades
