The establishment was a joint venture between the Methodist Church Ghana, Breman Asikuma Society and the Breman Traditional Council led by Very Rev. Felix Mensah Akyea, the then Superintendent Minister and Nana Amoakwa Buadu VI, the then Omanhene respectively.
The first Headmaster was Mr. Ernest K. A. Odoom and was started with six (6) teachers who include Messers E. B. Addai, Mr. Henry Aikins, Mr. Baffour, Mr. Allotey and Mr. T. B. Okwan, supported by a non-teaching staff of two. Student enrollment at the end of the first term was 60.
