History of Bompeh Senior High Technical

Bompeh Senior High Technical was one of the Axim Road Middle Schools selected, expanded and upgraded into Junior Secondary School by the Ghana Education Service and then named as Axim Road Experimental Junior Secondary School.

Upon the request of the Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service upgraded the school to a senior secondary school level and was named Bompeh Day Secondary Technical School in October 1985. The school was named after Nana Bompeh, a late chief of Sekondi who showed much interest in education during his reign. in 1989, the first batch of G.C.E. 'O' Level students passed out.

In September 1991, the school moved to its present site swapping with Perry Hayford and Mensah Sarbah Junior Secondary Schools.
