The idea of establishing Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School was mooted by Berekum Emmanuel Congregation of Presbyterian Church of Ghana in 1992. The then District Minister of the Church Rev. E.A. Asiedu, spearheaded the overall activities for the commencement of the school. In 1993, the school was opened under the acting Headship of Mr. Asante Boahen. Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School has chalked numerous successes in the area of academic performance, scholarly competitions such as Maths and Science Quiz, Debate, Sports and games etc. As a result of the above successes, Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School is one of the best Senior High Schools in the Bono Region of Ghana and the most preferred school in the Berekum Municipality.
