The School was established in 1985 by six communities in the Assin North District: Asempanaye, Danseme, Achiano, Kushea, Praso and Breman. It was to cater for the second cycle educational needs of the children in these communities. It was later absorbed by the Ghana Education Service in 1990 to start the Senior High Programme. The school is one of the first batch of schools selected to benefit from the Secondary Education Improvement Programme (SEIP).
Mission
Assin North Senior High School in partnership with parents, teachers and the community will provide a safe, easy to access learning environment that promotes academic and social growth for the Children of less endowed background to attain their highest level of success.
Vision
To be a nurturing ground for the less endowed youth to enable them discover their potential and pursue academic, vocational and technical aspirations successfully at the second cycle level to meet the ever changing manpower needs of Ghana.
