Adako Jachie Technical Institute (AJATECH)

Adako Jachie Technical Institute is a co-educational second-cycle technical school located in Ejisu in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The school was established in September 1978 by the Kwamo community, with support and collaboration from the local government of Ghana.

The institute has undergone three name transitions: it was initially called Community Development Technical Institute (CODTECH), later renamed Kwamo Technical Institute (Kwatech), and is now known as Adako Jachie Technical Institute (AJATECH).

Academic activities officially commenced in January 1979. Initially, the institute was administered by the local government and members of the Kwamo community. However, in January 2021, the community began the process of handing over administration to the Ministry of Education, specifically the Ghana TVET Service.
