Accra Wesley Girls’ High School was formerly a Private second cycle school owned by The Methodist Church of Ghana, and managed by the Accra Diocese It started in November, 2003 with 12 Girls and 8 teachers in renovated facilities at the premises of Rev Thomas Clegg Memorial Methodist Church, Kaneshie. Accommodation was made up of three classrooms, Administration offices and a staff common room. Accra Wesley Girls’ High School started with three programmes namely, General Arts, Business and Visual Arts. However, Visual Arts was dropped for lack of space. In the 2010/2011 academic year the school was absorbed by the Ghana Education Service as a Public / Mission Institution.
