Universities in Ghana

Universities are institutions that offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in a specified field of study. They offer undergraduate programmes that lead a student towards a master's degree or a doctorate. Undergraduate programmes are those first studied before completing university and are awarded with a Bachelor's degree. Post-graduate programmes may be applied for after gaining a Bachelor's degree, for a higher certificate such as a Master's or Doctorate. There are several universities in the country — state owned, technical, private and international — granting higher-level educational certificates acceptable in many working sectors.
